The main objectives of the CSP2 project are:
- To propose an alternative to current heat transfer fluid (HTF) for concentrating
solar power (CSP) plants that can operate in a wide range of temperature (100°C-1000°C)
without freezing and decomposition.
- To develop the technology for using dense suspension of solid particles as
new HTF and prove it at 150 kWth scale.
- To design innovative solar-tower based plants operating with this new HTF
and to derive cost estimation.
- To promote the development of this innovation.
